Motivated by 11.11, one of Southeast Asia’s largest eCommerce platforms, Shopee in 2018 started a 9.9 Super Shopping Day event. Though Shopee launched the sales event, several other retailers have since then joined, with Zalora and Lazada participating in prior years. This year, the 9.9 started on 20th August and ended on the 9th of September.
